Connecticut Credit Union Charitable Foundation

The Connecticut Credit Union Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization comprised of a voluntary board of directors who represent Connecticut credit unions through charitable giving. The Foundation advocates "Feeding the Needy" throughout Connecticut. Due to poor economic conditions, supplies at Connecticut food pantries are dangerously low and food is needed throughout the year for adults and children. The Foundation also recognizes the needs of others who are less fortunate and donates a portion of its fundraising proceeds to local charities, as well.

The Foundation has been helping Connecticut residents in need since 1980. The majority of the funds are used to purchase food that is delivered to the Connecticut Food Bank and FoodShare. The Connecticut Food bank serves Fairfield, Litchfield, New Haven, New London, Middlesex and Windham counties, and FoodShare serves Hartford and Tolland counties. A portion of the funds are used to sponsor the Boys & Girls Club Youth-of-the-Year Event. The Youth-of-the-Year program is a youth recognition program that promotes and celebrates Club members' service to the Club, community and family, academic performance, spiritual values, life goals and poise and public speaking ability.
