The Connecticut Credit Union Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization comprising a voluntary board of directors who represent Connecticut credit unions through charitable giving.
The Foundation advocates "Feeding the Needy" throughout Connecticut. Due to poor economic conditions, supplies at Connecticut food pantries are dangerously low and food is needed throughout the year for adults and children. The Foundation also recognizes the needs of others who are less fortunate and donates a portion of its fundraising proceeds to local charities, as well.
The Foundation has been helping Connecticut residents in need since 1980. The majority of the funds are used to purchase food that is delivered to the Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare: ▪ The Connecticut Food bank serves Fairfield, Litchfield, New Haven, New London, Middlesex and Windham counties. ▪ Foodshare serves Hartford and Tolland counties.
A portion of the funds is used to sponsor the Boys & Girls Club Youth-of-the-Year Event. The Youth-of-the-Year program is a youth recognition program that promotes and celebrates Club members' service to the Club, community, and family, academic performance, spiritual values, life goals and poise and public speaking ability. _______________________________________

The Connecticut Credit Union Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce that more than $38,000 was raised in its Annual Raffle to help the needy people of Connecticut. One-hundred-percent of the proceeds were donated to the Connecticut Food Bank and Hartford Foodshare so that needy men, women, and children in Connecticut will be able to enjoy nutritious food during the holidays and well into the winter.
The Connecticut Credit Union Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization established by credit unions in 1980 to support the needy in Connecticut. The Foundation hosts several fundraising activities each year, including a golf tournament, a bowling tournament, and the popular Annual Raffle.
The Foundation consists of volunteer credit union leaders representing the nearly 900,000 credit union members across the state. The Foundation advocates “Feeding the Needy” residents of Connecticut, and recognizes the needs of others less fortunate by donating a portion of its fundraising proceeds to local charities as well.
Mary Ann Pollaro, Executive Director of the Foundation said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the credit union staff and members who purchased raffle tickets to help the needy people of our state and increase awareness of the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People.’ It is amazing that in this economically challenging time credit unions and their members raised more than $38,000 that will help feed thousands of needy Connecticut residents.”
